Women's Conference
I am finally doing something for myself! I am so excited to attend Women's Conference, for the first time ever, on Thursday and Friday. I am going with my grandma, aunts, a couple cousins, and possibly my sister.

Elder Marble is COMING HOME!
Elder Steven Marble is coming home!....early. He has been injured on the mission and has been honorably released to come home 3 months early to have emergency surgery on his ankle. He has served with such faith and obedience with a love for the members of Pima, AZ; San Manuel, NM; Tuscon, AZ; and Duncan, AZ. We are so proud of you buddy!
When he was in high school playing football he fractured his right ankle. Being the determined person he is, he played the rest of the season and his senior year of football with never getting it looked at. His ankle did not heal correctly and he has had to wear an ankle brace since. Yesterday afternoon, he was playing basketball with some members when he landed on his ankle and re-fractured the same area that never healed correctly. He also fractured the inside of his ankle as well, there is now nothing holding his ankle together. He will be coming home in a wheelchair and going into emergency surgery early next week.
We are so grateful to be able to have him home tomorrow night in one piece, albeit broken. But the Lord blesses his servants and we know He has been watching over our Elder Marble. Welcome home Buddy!

Weird Dreams
I have been having the oddest dreams lately. They don't make any sense when I wake up and I just shake my head thinking, where the poop did that come from?!
My most recent dream was that my brother Steven (Elder Marble right now) came home from his mission. Me, being the responsible sister that I am, took him to a tattoo parlor and made him watch me get a tattoo of this across my entire back:
This was my very "classy" tattoo that I made my return missioinary brother watch me get in my dream!!

But I thought I should make it look pretty so why not add a little bird sitting on a cherry blossom, smack dab in the middle of the great ole United States!

I was asked by the Dean of my College that I advise for, to participate in the Convocation. Convocation is only for the college you graduated from and this is where you are able to have your nam announced and you are able to walk across the stage and shake your professors hand and the Deans as well.
He asked me to announce my students names as they came up to the stage! Our speaker for our college this year is the Lt. Governor for the State of Utah too. So I will be able to meet the Lt. Governor and see many of the students I have personally worked with, graduate! It is such an honor that the College has asked me to be a part of this great celebration.

Top 10 Fashion Mistakes Women Make and Simple Changes To Fix Them
I read this article on MSN this morning and thought it was so classic with some great humor in it too. I think we all make some mistakes and who doesn't prefer comfort over something stuffy?!

Shopping in Juniors
If you’ve successfully completed puberty, it’s time to stop shopping in the department meant for teens and pre-teens. You can listen to Greenday, the Jonas Brothers and Miley Cyrus on your iPod. You can even watch re-runs of American Pie. But when you put on a skirt with an odd number for a size it will never ever fit you and you will look older than you really are. Move over to the missy department for better fit and quality-made clothing.

Blackhawk Down
I have been at my new job for 7 months now and I am loving what I do more and more. I have a great college to represent and I truly believe in the work they do. For me, it's not just a job but a career. I have truly been blessed to have this opportunity to do some that I love, that I can grow with, and that I truly believe in. As a part of my responsibilities, I advise and counsel students. I have 11 departments that I cover and over 30 majors and minors, plus a Master's degree. I have tried really hard to be involved in everything they do and support all the programs. One of the programs that hasn't had much support from previous advisor's is Military Science (the Army, Air Force, and Navy.)
I have several family members who are a part of the military and I have great pride in the service they are providing us as Americans. I have reached out to the Military Science department and worked with them in making sure each officer is given the best information and advice in completing their degree and I have seen a great outcome from it.
As a thank you, they took me up in the air!
For anyone interested, these are the Army's Blackhawk UH-60 helicopters. They are used for tactical and utility transport. Each one can hold up to 11 troops with equipment and 4 crew members.
