This weekend will be the official weekend of move in! The townhouse is now officially ready for everyone and everything else to be moved in. Bethany and I stayed up til 1 am Thursday night painting her bedroom from and ugly robin egg's blue to an awesome green. Now we can move in all the big furniture and start setting up the rooms. I have been living in the townhouse by myself for the past week and a half and am definitely ready to have my friends back!
I have now "officially" been in the townhouse...by myself, for a week. But really it has only been a day here and a day there. I have to shower every day, I can't get away with not, and for the past week there has been NO HOT WATER! Praises be to my dad who came out with his handy man tools and turned on the gas for me and then made sure it worked before I even tried to get into my luxorious hot water bath. How much I have missed soaking in the beautiful smells of my Awapuii Shampoo, Victoria Secret bath gel, and being able to shave my legs without cutting off all of my precious goose bumps. But no more! Thanks Dad! So now that I am actually spending time at a close to functioning townhouse, I will start taking some pictures to share with everyone. I am just learning how much goes into living in something more than an apartment. I didn't have a clue that I was supposed to contact the HOA, call the gas company to turn the gas back on, or that Lehi city charges a $150 deposit to have the utilities in our name. But it is a price to pay to live in a nice area and actually have room to live:)
