dEliLa!

Delila has loved having me home for the holidays! All she wants to do is crawl under the blankets with me and sleep. She goes straight for the warmest spots, either next to my computer blowing out hot air, my feet, or in between my legs!

Christmas

The best part of Christmas? TalKinG to ELDER MARBLE! He is So hApPy! He said that this is the best time of his life and that he is learning sO mUcH!

Stock the Stockings

Rachel came home from Thanksgiving in Portland with the best Christmas present EVER! Stockings in the shape of high heels and boots! That's right! We each had our own stocking to match our personalities with our initials on it!!!
My red high heel with fish net stockings and a bright green feather garter!Rachel's knee high black boot with white laces and a white garter!

Bethany's pink stiletto boot with creme stockings and a lace garter!

Thanksgiving

The best part of the holidays? FAMILY

Grandpa
Grandma & the Aunties

The Girls

The Joys of Finals

My pile of books that are needed to complete 2, yes two!, presentations for my marriage classes. Thank heavens there are millions of books written on marriage topics because I am taking 2 marriage classes. All I have to say is that I somehow better find me a husband now that I know what I am doin! .....Actually, let's just say that it is a work in progress and that I'll never know what I am doing, lol!
Bethany and I decided what better to do than to have a movie marathon night while she completed her project, a quilt for her boyfriend. I don't know what I would rather be doing, sewing a massive quilt or typing away on my computer!
Thankfully, we were able to get our Christmas decorations up! Love Christmas, the smells, the spirit of the season, the beautiful lights, it all just gives me a warm feeling.

LETTER FROM GOD TO WOMEN....

My Precious Daughter,
When I created the heavens and the earth, I spoke them into being.

When I created man, I formed him and breathed life

into his nostrils. But you, woman, I fashioned after I

breathed the breath of life into man because your nostrils

are too delicate. I allowed a deep sleep to come over

him so I could patiently and perfectly fashion you.

Man was put to sleep so that he could not interfere with

the creativity.

From one bone, I fashioned you. I chose the bone

that protects man's life. I chose the rib, which protects

his heart and lungs and supports him, as you are

meant to do. Around this one bone I shaped you...

I modeled you.

I created you perfectly and beautifully.

Your characteristics are as the rib, strong yet delicate

and fragile. You provide protection for the

most delicate organ in man, his heart.

His heart is the center of his being; his lungs

hold the breath of life.

The rib cage will allow itself to be broken before

it will allow damage to the heart.

Support man as the rib cage supports the body.

You were not taken from his feet, to be under him,

nor were you taken from his head, to be above him.

You were taken from his side, to stand beside him and

be held close to his side.

You are my perfect angel...

You are my beautiful little girl.

You will or have grown to be a splendid woman

of excellence, and my eyes fill when I see the virtues

in your heart.

Your eyes, don't change them.

Your lips, how lovely when they part in prayer.

Your nose, so perfect in form.

Your hands so gentle to touch

Live simply.

Love seriously.

Care deeply.

Speak kindly.

Leave the rest to GOD

Halloween

There are NO words possible to explain my thinking this year. You may ask why I put my self through such mortification...it makes me laugh! But I had no idea how embarrassing it may have been for others to be seen next to me. So to all my loved ones, friends, co-workers, and the random person who followed me down the UVU hallway...thank you for not judging me and still being my friend after Halloween:)

Which One?

Take the GRE which is more quantitative or take the MAT which is more analytical?
I do better with my analytics but not so well with guantitativeness!
The one plus side to the MAT, it is cheaper!
For my last semester as an undergraduate I am taking Independent Studies to study for whichever test I end up taking. If anyone has more info, it would be greatly appreciated!

What An Amazing Experience

Steven is serving his mission in Tucson, Arizona and now has officially been gone for over a month and a half...close to two months, wow! The letter's that he writes are so upbeat and full of the spirit. Here are some pictures from his mission:

#1: The Pink Palace, the double wide they live in.

#2: His awesome bike!

#3: His first baptism, Cody ("with the shaved head").

#4: His first dog attack:( Yes, that is a paw print!

"True, enduring happiness, with the accompanying strength, courage, and capacity to overcome the greatest difficulties, will come as you center your life in Jesus Christ. Obedience to His teachings provides a secure ascent in the journey of life. That takes effort. While there is no guarantee of overnight results, there is the assurance that, in theLord's time, solutions will come, peace will prevail, and happiness will be yours." Richard G. Scott (Ensign, Nov. 2006)

Dove

In my Abnormal Psychology class I am doing a presentation on eating disorders and I found this amazing ad done by Dove on self image. I love how they have put it together and show how much media affects each one of us but especially children.

Painting

This weekend will be the official weekend of move in! The townhouse is now officially ready for everyone and everything else to be moved in. Bethany and I stayed up til 1 am Thursday night painting her bedroom from and ugly robin egg's blue to an awesome green. Now we can move in all the big furniture and start setting up the rooms. I have been living in the townhouse by myself for the past week and a half and am definitely ready to have my friends back!

Hallelujah!

I have now "officially" been in the townhouse...by myself, for a week. But really it has only been a day here and a day there. I have to shower every day, I can't get away with not, and for the past week there has been NO HOT WATER! Praises be to my dad who came out with his handy man tools and turned on the gas for me and then made sure it worked before I even tried to get into my luxorious hot water bath. How much I have missed soaking in the beautiful smells of my Awapuii Shampoo, Victoria Secret bath gel, and being able to shave my legs without cutting off all of my precious goose bumps. But no more! Thanks Dad!

So now that I am actually spending time at a close to functioning townhouse, I will start taking some pictures to share with everyone. I am just learning how much goes into living in something more than an apartment. I didn't have a clue that I was supposed to contact the HOA, call the gas company to turn the gas back on, or that Lehi city charges a $150 deposit to have the utilities in our name. But it is a price to pay to live in a nice area and actually have room to live:)

No More Drama!

So I have been having roommate problems as of lately and it has been very stressful. I think I am done with the whole roommate thing! So I talked to my parents and got their opinion and started looking around at other options. I talked to my aparment manager and was able to find someone to buy out my part of the lease. As I was venting to my girlfriends they were saying how their contract was up at their apartment and that we should all go in on a place together.

So........here is our new townhome!

It is located in Lehi by Thanksgiving Point. It has 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, a theater room, and a nice little backyard. It is perfect because we can have an office, especially for me, and actually entertain friends and family. The two dogs, Delila and Lola, can run around in the backyard and we don't have to worry about them! I am really excited and as they finish cleaning it I will take some more pictures of it.

C R A Z Y

The first day of school hasn't even started and I am going crazy! I work for the school and students are starting to come in to get everything in order. But the thing is....we're in college, not kindergarten! I'm sorry but after dealing with so much, I have to let it out! Here is my list of STUPID THINGS I DEAL WITH:

1. Once again, we are in college which means we are ADULTS. So please do NOT bring your
mother to school with you and act like you never learned how to speak!
2. I am sorry that you didn't realize that school costs money and that if you don't pay, then you
don't take classes.
3. See that pen in my hand, I'm not just holding it for fun, I use it to write with! So PLEASE do
not grab it out of MY HAND!
4. The bookstore is not a library, those books cost money, lots of money!
5. If my desk says BUSY, that means I am BUSY. I'm not pretending to do something just so
that I can find enjoyment in telling you that even though you are in college, you are expected
to read and what my sign says is true!
6. The more upset and agitated you get the more I don't want to help you. So when you tell me
that I am stupid because the State Legislature passed a law that requires you to live in Utah
for a year, than yes you are right...I AM A STUPID POO POO FACE!
7. I am not a magic genie in a bottle, staring at me for 2 straight minutes, thinking I will change
my mind and all the sudden your tuition is cheaper, DOES NOT WORK!

Ok, I actually do feel a little better after that. So each day I will post my new adventures with COLLEGE STUDENTS!

Preach My Gospel

Steven entered the MTC today. It was very bittersweet. I didn't realize how much I would miss him but I am so excited for him as well. I know that he will do everything he can to be the best that he can be. He is such a strong person and always has the best intent. He will be a great servant of the Lord and I know that the people of Tucson, Arizona are waiting for him.

It Was Stupid

What is the best way to get a girl to not wear her heels?

Break her foot/ankle! Yep, that's what happened to this girl...she fractured her foot! How you ask? Don't worry, it wasn't riding my four wheeler, boating, or even wearing my heels and somehow falling. Friday night I was running to get to my car when I stepped off the curb in my apartment's parking lot and stepped on an uneven part of the ground and rolled my ankle. 3 hours later, I find out in the ER that I have fractured the 4th metatarsal in my right foot and have road rash on my left knee.

R O D E O

It is getting closer and closer to Steven leaving on his mission so Whittney and Brett thought it would be fun for all of the siblings to go to the Spanish Fork Fiesta Day's Rodeo together. When Whittney, Steven, and I were little our great-grandparents took us to the Spanish Fork rodeo every year so this was a really sentimental and fun rodeo.

My dad passed on his cowboy boots to Brett...I used to wear them when I was a little girl and walk around in my dress and cowboy boots!

Brett and Steven

He's Still Got It!

It was a little late in the summer but we got the boat out and spent a late afternoon out on Jordanelle. It was so pretty to watch the sun set while sitting on the water. But the best part was seeing my dad catch some pretty sweet air!! How is it that a 22 year old can only last half the time than an ALMOST 50 year old?!?

Catching some air!
Doin' his thing!
Daddy Daughter...so sweet!

Then we got the girls, Amanda and Alex, out on the water and not only were they flying but Alex decided she was going to take an insane half hour ride flipping and flopping all over the place!

Alex flying off!!
